The ACAD-Rio-Project was born out of Mestre Rogerio’s potential return to Brazil. After having introduced Capoeira Angola in Europe, Mestre Rogerio found a place to apply his knowledge not only of Capoeira Angola. His first step was to buy 200m² in Nova Iguaçu (Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro) where he could build a place for living and for teaching and practicing Capoeira Angola. In order to realize this project, we have already carried out different activities like parties, production and selling of DVDs, t-shirts and collecting donations.
The 1st step – laying the building’s foundation – has been taken with the help of many hands and the investment of R$ 30.000 (€ 10.000) in 2013.
